About US

OptimumSCS was formed in June 2021 to offer professional services in Supply Chain Consulting. Our team is composed of experts in the Supply Chain and logistics industry, whose combined experience brings significant value to the organization. We have set up a team of professionals who bring much-needed supply chain knowledge to the table, which sets OptimumSCS apart from other companies.

The company specializes in all aspects of supply chain network design and analysis, technology selection and implementation, as well as Supply Chain analytics. OptimumSCS ensures quality through superior management and Control developed on job by highly performance team, which has years of technical and practical experience in supply chain and logistics.

  • the implementation of the Nebula ERP System for OpenServe (formerly Telkom), Toyota, and Nike between 2020 and 2024, significantly enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Implementation of a Transportation Management System for Value Logistics in 2020- 2021 greatly improved their delivery performance and customer satisfaction.

Our Solution Approach

Order Management

The Order Management is where users will be able to review and capture different order types which can include :

  • Sales Orders
  • Purchase Orders
  • Return Orders
  • Transfer Orders
  • Export Orders

Other information such as delivery dates , delivery address and delivery terms can be specified when capturing the order.

Planning

Based on different Order types that we have in the system , a load or a trip can be planned . The information below can be captured on a load .

  • Correct vehicle size and type.
  • Allocate a driver to a load/trip
  • Trip start date and end date

Loads can be created for both secondary and Primary distribution as well as exports. The system is capable of optimizing routes during planning .

Execution

Execution is the actual allocation of transporters and vehicles to planned loads and trips and it involves the below processes :

  • Releasing of planned loads to warehouse for warehouses processes such as(Pick, Pack, Scale and execute work).
  • Vehicle space optimization(VSO).
  • Truck loading.
  • Pre-trip inspection such as flat tyres , fuel ,lights etc.
  • Dispatching the truck.

Tracking

  • This involves tracking exactly where your drivers have been and receive detailed information, giving you insight into your vehicles idling status, fuel levels, engine diagnostics, specialized sensor readings, and more.

  • The map above would display the current activities of the vehicles , additional information such as whether the vehicle is in motion , stopped or completed the trip will be shown in the system .

Routing and Billing

This describes how to assign a rate to an inbound load and outbound load so that the rate can relate to other tasks in the transportation planning for loads. The tasks of assigning a rate to an inbound and outbound load are similar, the only differences are the origin of the load.

  • At this stage , the System can now generate the expected freight bills based on :
  1. Agreed Rate (rated per km/weight/volume)
  2. Contract with the transporter
  • Freight bills are sent to the ERP through integration for vendor payment process .

Results and Analysis

Results can be analyzed and presented in Power BI reports , for instance the picture above shows the workload balancing over the week .
